    About Alfred Smith Funeral Directors

Alfred Smith Funeral Directors began life as Victorian undertakers in Southwark in 1881 and have been serving the neighbouring communities of Bermondsey, Borough, Camberwell, Kennington and Walworth ever since. We are based in Great Suffolk Street in the heart of the borough.

The team at our Southwark funeral home will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. We have our own service venue at both our funeral homes.

Here at Alfred Smith Funeral Directors we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.

If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.

    Funeral Arranger

Jackie has been with Alfred Smith Funeral Directors since 2014, having previously worked as a florist.

She feels her previous role has helped her in her current position and enjoys looking after families at their time of need. Ensuring peoples loved ones get the send-off that the they truly deserve. Nothing is too much or too little for my clients/families.

In her spare time, she enjoys the odd game of bingo, going out for a meal & cinema but most of all she just loves being with her grandchildren.
